Plan, Create then Curate and Distribute!

There are three easy steps for deployment.

Plan your content
 and content hierarchies.

Create your
 Crescendo theme/s

Will you copy over existing
 files and folders, or will
 you create content?
How will the content be updated?

Will you use custom folder

Set user access and permission levels on Sharepoint. Ensure users have Sharepoint accounts and iPads

What is a Crescendo Case?

A Crescendo Case is a Sharepoint folder that has been marked to be available in Crescendo – with all its subfolders and content.

You may have many folders in your Sharepoint account, but only need a few of them to be available in Crescendo. Those will be your Crescendo Cases.

It is commonplace for organizations using Sharepoint Online to have several sites, with some utilizing complex hierarchical structures. For the purpose of this instruction it is assumed that you are using your default Team Site.

How to create a Crescendo Case?

You will designate an existing folder, or create a new folder, as a Crescendo Case. This folder must reside one hierarchical level under the Documents folder in your site. You can have more than one Crescendo Case.
Complete the Case designation by appending [Crescendo] to the folder name. That is, add the word Crescendo inside square brackets to the folder name. Only folders marked with [Crescendo] will be available within the Crescendo app.

3. Proceed to copy, move, or create content within the Crescendo Case in Sharepoint. Crescendo supports Sharepoint's folder hierarchy and subfolders. Organize your files as you see fit!

 You are ready!

Congratulations! Your Sharepoint folders are now set up – launch Crescendo on your iPad, login with your Sharepoint credentials and your Crescendo Cases will be available.

When you start Crescendo for the first time, it will sync your Crescendo Case(s) to the device. It may take up to several minutes, depending on your network performance. Once synced, Crescendo will only sync new and updated files.

TIP: By default Crescendo checks for content updates every 15 minutes. If you upload new files on Sharepoint and prefer Crescendo to sync immediately – use two-finger double-tap gesture in the app. This will force immediate synchronization.

Next step: Create your own Crescendo Theme!

You can easily modify the look and feel of your Crescendo: the background, colors
of various assets, files and folders icons and much more.
