You’re probably thinking, “Oh no, not AI again. Have they gone crazy too?”
Well, we’re a tech company, so it’s hard not to be tempted by new possibilities. At the same time, we never want Crescendo to become a toy overloaded with flashy, useless features. Our focus has always been on keeping it simple, reliable, and genuinely useful.
After long period of experimentation, we’ve built an AI Assistant that’s truly simple and, more importantly, actually useful.
How does it work?
First, you can think of it as a smart search. Let’s say you want to find an answer to a complex and broad question based on the documents you have in Crescendo – whether it’s just one file or a selected group of them.
Ask your question naturally, for example:
- “In which document can I find most relevant data on…”
- “Point me to the file with a detailed description of…”
- “Do we have instruction for series Xpka that…”
You can also use it as a helping hand for preparing data, for example:
- “Prepare a comparison table of product parameters for items released after 2022, including pricing information.”
- “Create a complete list of appliances, calculate the price-to-output ratio, apply a 10% discount, and match each with the most relevant power source.”
- "Summarize the key changes to our new contract template in no more than 2,000 characters."
Finally, it also works great as a shortcut for writing — whether it’s emails, offers, or follow-ups.
- “Prepare an email with a quote for 20 units of RTA20, including power supplies and control boards, addressed to Mr. Jones. Keep it under 20 sentences and use our EMEA price list.”
- “Write a short introductory email about our company, including details about our top five best-selling products. Use the 2025 sales data spreadsheet to identify the top five.”
How Well Does It Work?
The quality of the answers depends on input or context it receives.
The assistant relies on the documents in your Crescendo as well as additional custom data sources, such as your website as its knowledge base (if configured). As long as those sources are relevant and up-to-date, the Assistant will provide you with the best and most reliable results.
It’s up to your team (or content curator) to decide which files the AI Assistant should reference. This can range from a single document to a large collection of files.
